Honor Societies
National Honor Society for High School and National Junior Honor Society for Middle School are great opportunities for Scholars’ to connect more with their school community and do community service. Students can join the Honor Society but must meet certain requirements.
Students earn Honor Society status by meeting all the criteria listed below. Grade 7 and 10 students that are eligible receives a notification if they are on track to apply for honor society in June. In February, students in Grade 8 and Grade 11 receive the application. The Honor Society induction ceremonies normally takes place in the Spring.

- Students maintain a 90+ average for every term from 6th-8th grade
- Demonstrate qualities of CHARGE (Cooperation, Hard work, Amiability, Respect & Resilience, Grit & Growth mindset, and Equity & Empathy)
- Students may not have any suspensions or documented incidents of academic dishonesty.
- Students may not have more than 5 disciplinary occurrence reports (OORS) including infractions against Citywide Behavioral Expectations
- Students may not have more than 5 Behavioral anecdotals including dress code infractions, deans referral, dean follow up request, or behavioral outreach in a school year
- Students must have 12 hours of community service per school year including grade 6, 7, and 8
- No more than 9 unexcused latenesses
- No more than 9 unexcused absences
- Notes and documentation from previous years will not be accepted
- Students maintain a 90+ average for every term from 9th-12th grade
