These are the key dates for students who are applying to middle school and high school for Fall 2026. These dates are subject to change. Any changes will be announced and communicated directly to families. Sign up for updates Here.

Middle School Admissions

  • Wednesday, October 15, 2025: Middle School Application Opens
  • Monday, November 3, 2025: Deadline to register to test for Mark Twain I.S. 239 (21K239) and District 21 Talent Tests
  • Friday, December 12, 2025: Middle School Application Closes
  • Wednesday, April 15, 2026: Middle School Offer Release

High School Admissions:

  • Tuesday, October 7, 2025: High School Application Opens
  • Wednesday, December 3, 2025: High School and LaGuardia Applications Close
  • Thursday, March 5, 2026: High School Offer Release

How to Apply:

Both middle and high school families should apply through the MySchools.nyc website, the official platform for NYC school admissions. To make an account, reach out to your school counselor for an account creation code.

Info Session & Tours

We are excited to announce Scholars’ Academy will be hosting an Information Session & Tours for Prospective Families, for prospective students/families entering in September 2026 (current grade 5 or 8 students only).

For Families Seeking a Transfer:

Thank you for your interest in the Scholars’ Academy. All admissions and enrollment is handled completely by the Office of Student Enrollment, including midyear/transfers. The Family Welcome Center will work in conjunction with the school following the most updated policies, as well as looking at seat availability. You will need to inform the Enrollment Office of whether your child is a general education or full time special education student, as well as provide official school transcripts and report cards.
